The Great Commission

Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."

At Southwood, we believe in our calling to "GO and MAKE Disciples." We have chosen to follow God's leading and go outside of the church building to spread the love and grace of Jesus Christ to our community, city, and world.

• We provide food to support the Backpack Buddies program every week at Southwood Elementary.
• Our church hosts a Halloween Family Fun Night to provide a safe place for children to treat or treat.
• We have a Prayer Blanket Ministry that makes and shares prayer blankets with those in need of prayer and healing.
• Our church has a Harvest Festival every November to raise money to support missions and those who may be in need in our community.
• We have a booth at the BBQ Festival to collect prayer requests and give out "I Love Jesus" bracelets.
• Our members adopt Angels from the angel tree and provide Christmas presents to students from Southwood Elementary.
